The Temporary Human Resources File Clerk is responsible for recordkeeping, filing, and ensuring that the personnel files are maintained and well-kept. May assist Director of HRIS with additional administrative projects and assignments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • File, upload, and maintain personnel records (paper and electronic format); Sort or classify documents according to guidelines such as chronological, alphabetical, or numerical order to prepare for scanning or filing.
  • Place personnel documents into storage receptacles, such as file cabinets, boxes, bins, or drawers.
  • Ensure daily maintenance of cleanliness and organization of HR file rooms.
  • Assist with clerical requests including scanning, photocopies, filing, collating documents, and stapling.
  • Assist with auditing personnel files to ensure proper documentation is maintained.
  • Follow procedures and confidentiality policies to safeguard data and information.
  • Perform additional administrative projects and assignments as needed.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of administrative/clerical experience helpful.
  • Detail oriented and exhibit a high degree of accuracy and organization.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to operate copiers, fax machines and other office equipment.
  • Ability to accurately read, identify and sort documents.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of HRIS/ATS databases helpful.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to sit, stand, kneel, crouch, reach, bend, stoop, twist, pull, and push and use the hands to grip or handle objects, tools, small objects, or controls.
  • The work requires the ability to lift or move up to 35 lbs.
  • The work environment is that typical of an office.

Pay Scale $15.50 to $18.00 per hour

The pay scale above is the salary or hourly wage range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position.

Within this range, individual pay is determined by location and other factors including, but not limited to, specific skills, relevant work experience, and relevant education and/or training. This information is provided to applicants in accordance with California Labor Code § 432.3 and state and local minimum wage standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Ontario, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
