About the Role
We believe that the right team is the heart of our business. You will assist clients with accounting, payroll and tax services, liaise with relevant tax and regulatory bodies on behalf of clients and preparation of year-end financial reports.
What Your Day to Day Will Look Like
- Communicate & be responsible for clients to ensure that they are well-serviced
- Be accountable for the quality and timeliness of all tasks related to clients that are assigned to you
- Assist in on boarding new clients by helping to clean up messy books
- Be responsible for bookkeeping, payroll & tax related tasks
- Prepare year-end financial statements and tax returns.
- From time to time assist with financial management task
- Liaising with SARS and other relevant regulators on behalf of clients
- Must be willing to relocate to Cape Town
What You Need to Succeed
Technical requirements
- You have obtained your accounting degree or relevant finance qualification
- Registered SARS tax practitioner.
- You have at least 5 years of bookkeeping, payroll and tax experience
- You have bookkeeping experience and are certified with online accounting and systems, notably Xero and Sage
- You have experience working on payroll
- Experience in dealing with SARS and relevant regulators
- You are able to take a messy set of books and turn it into something pretty.
